Today it is less than 48 hours until I leave. The nerves are finally starting to set in, and I'm terrified I'm forgetting something. Textbooks? Check. Sunscreen? Check. Inappropriate shoes? Check. I am already beginning my iphone withdrawal, which is certainly difficult!
So my backpack is filled to burst, as usual, but I'm proud of my packing skills. The one thing I have left to get is my host family gift. Apparently I am supposed to get something about my state. It seems to me everyone who has ever assigned this is from an interesting state; there really is no exciting book about North Carolina history; probably because there aren't any real landmarks or huge tourist attractions, except for beaches. So I'll probably get something beach-y.
So I should also mention this is my first blog post EVER! Yikes! And I hope this is my most boring one, since I'm still in the U.S. I wanted to write something though, since I just made this! But my next post probably won't be for a week or so, since I have orientation. I'll try to post pictures and fill my posts with exciting adventures(including information about my host family) soon!!!
